War matchmaking lost during server outage

One of our officers hit the matchmaking button at about 8:45 central time, more than 15 minutes before matchmaking was shut down. Now the war screen says that we haven't started war and the alliance page has been wiped clear except for the last four hours. Im sure there is no way to rectify this but I'm more than a little annoyed about our lost shards.
