Why can't I enter coliseum?

Can someone tell me why I can't enter coliseum? It keeps giving me a warning whenever I press the button play. Did I have to be in an alliance to go into it for a certain amount of time?
I joined my alliance yesterday.

Yea this is alliance based event replacing alliance quest this week. Probably had to join before it began. Solo Coliseum is coming sometime soon
