Which of the following 4* champ doesn’t need to be awakened for ranking up to r5?

Other than Dorm maybe if you want him for defense.
In priority I would take Iceman > Hype > Magik > CAWW2.

You asked who doesn't need to be Awakened, so that's what I voted. Hyperion increases Buff Duration when Awakened, but he's just as viable without it.
