4* Magik or 5* Dorm

I have enough Mystic tier 4 class cats so I can either R5 my dupped 4* Magik or I can R3 my Undupped 5* Dorm. I mainly use Dorm for AW def and my main atk Mystic is my R5 dupped 4* Dr. Voodoo. Opinions?

Dorm isn't great unless duped for defense, his degen matters there.

Magik duped or not is worth the r5 on attack, so is dorm, but magik's animations are much smoother than dorms. Magik is a very good champs for act 5, her power control is extremely useful. I recommend her over dorm, but when you get the t4 mystics again, you should r3 him afterwards.

Why would you use magik for power control when there’s nothing at all she can do that dorm can’t? His power lock is guaranteed unlike magik’s, he can drain power with his 2nd medium, drain a lot of power with an imbued sp2 and has all sorts of other utility to go with it. Double immunity, great nullify, heals, direct damage. Only thing about magik really Is limbo, so she might be able to undo the damage from a third special or something, since the opponent is highly unlikely to do that its probably just going to be chip damage and dealing damage to the opponent. Apart from that her third special against a buffed opponent is pretty crazy, her damage is better than dorms, but in terms of controlling power he’s superior imo. I just can’t see how she would be the better option for that. Also @Soulreaveras since dormammu is a 5* with more upgrade potential, I would definitely go for him first. You won’t need magik if you have dormammu, just don’t use him on defence if he isn’t duped.

Considering the game is going the way of 5*'s, unless its between KK or AM or some pathetic champ like that, always do the 5* first. Dorm is pretty good.

I'm biased towerds Dorm and he is a 5*, he may not hit that hard but he can power control with 2 medium hits then power lock with sp2 and/or power drain. Lets not forget he is also bleed and poison immune. He has been a very good asset in my rosters, Once you get use to him, he is actually very effective and his sp2 can do a bit of damage when used correctly.

So power lock under a bar of power and then chain heavy against the wall. Rinse and repeat. It’s not as hard as it looks.

Rank up that 5* Dorm, he’s so much more special than your 4* Magik.
