How Do You Beat Mordo?

My play style is built around block and parry, and that just gets me killed fast by Mordo. He's unique, no other champ plays like him. How do you beat him (other than revives)?

-After you parry him, charge up your heavy attack. A split second before the parry expires, let it rip. It should connect just as the parry stun runs out.
-If you have X23 or Elektra (maybe others too), launch your heavy right after you parry him. He can't astral evade the flip style heavy attacks.
-If your SP1 or SP2 is ready, just parry him and let the special rip. He can't evade specials either.
Widen your skillset past block and parry, learn how to evade. You need to learn how to do it for various things in the game anyway unless you never intend on getting better. Evade is a very important part of the game in many many situations rather than just taking unnecessary damage from holding block.
1. Push to the wall, use heavies. If he seems to be playing turtle behind the block, I hit him once and see if he slides backwards after I stop attacking - which is the AI trying to put distance between us. If he does, I repeat until he reaches the wall and can't slide back any more. Then I use heavy attacks to break the block. Sometimes I can hit him repeatedly with heavies. Usually I can goad him into trying to use a special: be ready to evade that and repeat.
2. Time the astral. When I parry, I watch his astral evade and wait for it to expire. Just as the clock is about to run out I attack him, timing the attack to land after it expires and thus no astral evade. This takes practice, but at this point I can usually do that about 90% of the time.
3. Eat the special three. When all else fails, and he refuses to take the bait and doesn't want to cooperate with any other strategy, I don't let him corner me and start beating on me. I continue to attack and keep the fight in the middle of the screen and let him get to special three. Mordo's special three in and of itself doesn't really hit hard. The problem is the heal he can trigger and the fury he can proc: you have to deal with that. But you can't play Mordo like you're fighting Storm where the special three will kill you, so you have to do whatever it takes to try to avoid the computer getting all three bars. With Mordo, you don't surrender tactical advantage or let him push you to the wall. You try to keep as much health as possible so you can absorb the special three and continue the fight.
It helps to play Mordo on attack to see what the weaknesses are as well. For example, Mordo is very hard to get into and out of blocking stance. The computer has the same problem. Mordo hits like a wet noodle most of the time: the computer has the same problem. You'll wonder why you bothered with the special three: the computer has the same problem. But you will also find you are much more dangerous after using special three because of the fury buffs: the computer gets the same benefit and you have to handle that.
The best way to feed MD for mordo from drax's furies.
It may or may not be the best solution, but it's the best solution for me. If the OP gets a few suggestions, he can figure out what works best for him. It's not a contest.
Are you seriously complaining about the fact that other people are posting alternate suggestions to "just use Drax?"
Heavy attack at him while he is defending
If he gets stunned, don't ever attack him
Option 1 - you don't have to heavy attack. I actually would recommend a basic/light attack because it's quicker to connect. I use the parry/timer management routinely against more I with great success. Generally you only need it once or twice in a fight. After that, just bait l1 or l2 and counter.
Best of luck!
But actually this is not the real prob with Mordo, the real prob is his Power gain. Fortunately his SA arent that much devastating like Hulk or Electra or Hyperion.
- Widen your skillset away from parry.
- Learn to intercept
- Use his powergain to your advantage so you don't even need to parry.
- Use slow combos so they will last into when he gets his next power gain so your hit cancels it
- when he is in powergain he will keep powergaining if you don't hold block or any controls, you will start walking towards him which forces him into corner so you can heavy attack.
Map5 Mordo - Without MD can be taken down with a 2* SL eg:

With Quake I literally try to win vs him with 0 hits. Just hold block the entire fight and you will win.
Iceman is awesome. Then there's the immunity node...ugh..lol
