Game not starting after last update

I've just updated to 17.1.0 and now the game just won't start.
Whenever I try to open the app I just get a blank (black) screen.

I have LG G2, Android 5.0.2.
What can I do besides uninstalling?

Update - the game is actually working, it was just insanely slow to startup.
I'm going to guess it was downloading something even before the initial "Marvel" banner shows up, causing it to seem unresponsive. Hopefully this was a one time thing and won't happen every time I open the game...
