Beginner Player placed in veteran's Arena bracket

I am currently on my 9th day of playing this game and I tried to grind for the 3* Thor Jane Foster in the most recent arena, but when the rank rewards came in I saw I got placed in the 26-45% rewards and my friend and I compared our leaderboards and they are completely different (he joined on the same day). Then I compared it to my friend who has been playing over a year and we had the same leaderboard. We looked back and this was also the issue with the first 3* Thor Jane Foster arena (my account would only have been 2-3 days old). Did I get placed in the veteran's bracket of arena as a brand new account? Please help.

    You should open a support ticket (go to the gear button at the top left of the home screen to get to support).
