Chat box arbitrary limitations

Why does the chat box limit you to just over one line, yet the chat box for each message is large enough to hold 5-6 lines of text? Either change the character limit to match the size of the box or make the box smaller.

I don't know how costly it would actually be for kabam to increase the character limit, but since most players use 3rd party communication apps like Line anyway, there's really no reason for them to spend even $5 on the labor to make that change.
