defender synergy effects in AW do not work?

Hey guys,
I just heard from one of my alliance members that the defender synergy effects in AW do not work.
Is that true?

Correct they haven't worked in a long time

Are the synergies working in the aw now,or not?for example hood-dormamu,or the medusa synergies?
