There should be a change in the rift rules or for special cercumstances

Somehow when i was taking care of my sick son my t3 heroic rift got opened and i didnt no so now i loose out on t4mastery rift. I didnt nove i thought it was a glitch and tild then i didnt get my shards and they told me i opened it. I had no idea. How do u think it works out for me. I mean no1 can not beat the 6 fight in 1hour i mean for real.
