AW Cooldown period after giving away account to a member of the same alliance?

Asking for a friend, who quit playing one of his accounts that he build from scratch. He donated his account to an alliance buddy and will no longer access his original account.
How long does the new account owner need to wait before he can participate in AW? The new owner and the alliance do not want to risk a penalty.
Does anyone know?

    Giving your account away is still considered account sharing.

    I would ask on Reddit. That said I would wait a couple weeks before trying war. Doubt there's an actual rule but you definitely don't want it flagged for account sharing because it's still against the rules to give an account away or sell it. I'd encourage him to play in other areas though.

    It's against TOS to transfer Accounts.

    Have him run the account in another alliance for a bit and see if anything happens lol. But like @GroundedWisdom said there is no way to transfer an account within the rules.

    are we all really just going to ignore the "asking for a friend" bs and keep pretending the OP isn't just trying to cover himself in case a mod sees this and wants to take action :D

    I think we all assumed he was the friend and kinda ignored it. I know I did.
