Alliance Base

I have been playing this game for almost 2 years now and I have really started wondering lately if they are ever going to do anything about an alliance base. The base tabs in your alliance is still yet to say anything but coming soon. Not sure if I have missed something or not but has anything ever been said about when progress will be made on this?

The only thing they ever said was around the most recent nerfing when they basically said that bases were intended to be released but were taken off the docket for other more exciting gameplay activities.
