Another thread about ranking up (cosmic and mutant champions)

Hey guys,

I got finally 3x tier 4 cosmic catalysts and 3x tier 4 mutant catalysts. Now I'm just gathering t4bc and t1a to R5 two of my 4* champs or R3 two of my 5* champions.

I started exploring Act 4.3 and when I fully explore it I'd like to start Act 5, RTTD Ch4 and RoL. I'm casual player. I don't wanna focus on high end content such as LOL. I'd like to get some help with Master Event Quests, Boss Rush, etc. I had some problem with Thanos with my R4 champions but I finally beat him so any help from these champions below would be cool in further events.

So who would you recommend for rank up?
MUTANT
  • 4* Iceman 4/40 (sig 69) - my weapon against evaders
  • 4* Archangel 4/40 (sig 26) - my mvp againts Master Thanos
  • 5* Iceman 2/35 - use him only in placement phase in AW / dungeons / arena
  • 5* Archangel 1/25 - use him in dungeons / arena
  • 5* Rogue 2/35 - placement phase in AW / dungeons / arena

COSMIC
  • 4* Hyperion 4/40 - don't like his playstyle, but he deals decent damage and he's poison immune
  • 5* Angela 2/35 - i love to play with her because she doesn't rely on parries

Thanks in advance,

That is ridiculous luck, can't go wrong with either AA or iceman as a 5*

If I were you I’d focus on 5* where you can. I’m in a similar situation as you where I have Rogue and Angela unduped. The great thing is, neither have to be duped to get a lot of effectiveness out of them (especially Angela). I would probably say Angela is a good first choice followed by Rogue. In Act 5 there are quests that will “punish” buffers (so good to have Rogue) and quests that punish debuffers (good for Angela and Rogue). I only say Angela first because her damage output is by far greater than pretty much any other champ when set up. Then Rogue is useful for regen and survivability. Iceman would be a good choice as well since he is triple immune although bleed and poison aren’t too big of a problem in 5.1 and 5.2 (I think you might run into Abom 2-3 times for all exploration and Morningstar doesn’t exist yet). Overall choose champs you’re comfortable with and who you like using. It is a game after all and should be enjoyed.

Thanks for the feedback guys. What about 4*? I see on yt that a lot of people are still using them in beginning of Act 5, Master EQ, even Uncollected EQ as well.

I don't have Blade and Stark Spidey but the rest are pretty decent :)

I doubt I will ever dupe my 5*, as well as R4 them. I play in weak alliance when they are only 4 ppl active. We only do map 2 to get all milestones and 325 glory at the end. We only do 1 war per week which most of the time we lose.

Is it still worth ranking up 5* champions (to R3 only) when I have duped their 4* versions?

Over time 5* awakening gems will become more available. My priority with your roster would be taking up your 5* Iceman as high as you can. I'd take him all the way to r5 if I had one. Dupe not needed for him whatsoever, though it does make him better.

    DEFINITELY.
