It keeps taking away x2 energy for example if I move 3 steps in the events or story it charges me 6 energy instead of 3.

Different quests have different energy costs. There is usually a space in the bottom right corner of the quest that will tell you the energy cost

But it doesnt always do it, only does it when I replay it
