5 star basic crystal, character odds?

I just saw a video of a guy opening 23 five star crystals, and got one hit. ONE, which was Iceman, the rest of them were characters at least 18 months old.
I saved up for 8 crystals last month, and got zero hits. Ant-man twice, Iron Patriot twice, She-Hulk, Yellow Jacket, Luke Cage and Juggernaut. I have 14 five stars, all older and champs no one ever utilizes, maybe it's just bad luck, or maybe it's working as intended

So my question is, are there different odds for each character in the 5 star basics crystals? Like maybe all champs 18 months or older have an 90% probability and newer or 'god tier' champs have like a 5% probability or somethin?

It's all the same. It may not seem so, but each Champ in the Basic has an equal chance to drop.

same....mostly have champions from the first few batch of champions added

probably 100 champs in the crystal....
you probably only think 10 are any good......
which means you have a 90% chance of getting wat you dont have......

Hey guys, I understand it can be really frustrating when you don't get the Champions you were hoping for from Crystal openings. I often feel like I've the worst luck ever in this game! ...I've wanted a 4 or 5-Star Iceman, Archangel, Blade, Ghostrider, or even Gwenpool for what seems like ages now! My roster is really lacking is a decent Champion who can deal Bleed Damage or one with good Health Regeneration, but after two years of playing in the Contest and opening Crystals, I still find myself hoping that I can be lucky enough to pull just one of them from the next Crystal I open.

With regards the drop rate for Basic 5-Star Crystals, we already provided clarification in THIS thread that every Champion has the same chance of dropping, unless otherwise stated. Though, I do realize myself that it mightn't always feel like that when you aren't lucky enough to get a Champion you desperately want after opening a lot of Crystals.

As Maat1985 very wisely pointed out, we tend to want just a select few Champs to drop from each Crystal, and I'm guilty of doing this also! As I mentioned above, I really want one of those 5 Champs! The downside with narrowing our expectations in this way is that there is a much higher chance of us receiving a Champion that we really don't want and so it can often feel like the odds are against us. I'll go ahead and close this thread now as your question about the drop rates for Basic Crystals has been answered, but I sincerely hope your luck changes soon and you get the Champions you really want!
