Masteries in defence

My alliance mates are questioning if I'm right or not.
I believe that if you place your war defence without suicides then put suicides on to grind arena your defenders will still not have suicides?

In other words once defenders are in masteries are locked, same thing if you awaken or rank a champ after placing.

I'd to be proven right (or wrong, I'm fine with that too).

Everything is locked as it was at the time of placement, with the exception of boosts.

you're correct, the masteries you place your defenders with are the masteries that will affect them in the war, you're free to change after placing
