What determines who lands the first punch?
OK, now this is a really dumb question, but I am genuinely curious.
Now that the AI only throws the initial punch maybe 25% of the time at the very beginning of the fight, rendering the "opening parry" strategy mostly useless (or at least only partially effective), I wanted to see what would happen if I tried throwing the first punch instead.
Turns out that when I try that strategy, it NEVER works... after about 50 fights, I was unable to land the first punch a single time trying to do it manually. However, when I turn on auto-fight, my champ will frequently land the first punch.
I tried swiping really fast repeatedly, I tried timing it in different ways... wasn't able to do it a single time. Either I'd get punched first, or my punch would get blocked. Mostly, I'd get punched first, even though they hardly ever punch first when going for the parry now
I could just be incredibly unlucky, but... I'm curious. What determines who lands the first punch immediately after the fight starts?
