Versus AI

I have a question. Ever since I became uncollected, I have had extreme difficulty baiting the AI in versus, but the AI in all of the other quests are still the same. Has anyone else experienced this glitch/problem? And if so, how did you get past it? It actually has made versus really irritating to me.
