Adding a danger room like feature so you can try out the different abilities of your favorite champions

I like the idea.

Obviously for champions you already have you simply go pick a fight in a quest or arena!

But a Danger Room could allow you to experience the fighting merits of new champions or those you don't have yet and let Kabaam interactively showcase their new or up-and-coming champions.

My alliance often search out champions that we struggle with so we can practice ways to beat them with our roster, but this is hard to find a target, especially for the rarer or newer champions. Being able to practice with/against a specific champion without having to search for someone who has them as their top champion to duel or fight through a map would be very useful in this vein.

In the Danger Room you could select which attacking and defending champion to use and adjust their quality/rank/awakened levels too. You could switch health/time on/off to make sure you got enough practice in.

I don't think there would need to be any rewards for using the danger room (so it wouldn't grant points for quests) - the reward is being able to practice and prepare. Ideally it would be free to use, or maybe using duel tokens (but if it costs then I would expect a reward to offset the expense).
