AQ crystal changes

I currently have tons of AQ crystals in my game unopened. If I dont open them until the new AQ crystals come out. Does that mean all my currently unopened crystals will be changed to the new crystals?

Also, this was discussed in the beta, and I can confirm this was explicitly discussed. Existing crystals are not supposed to change, as the crystals being given out in season five are different crystals entirely.
