Synergies with different version of the same champ

I was wandering... I remember kabam promising once that synergies will work with the different versions of the same champ so for example if Iron Man has a synergy with regular Captain America he will also have the same synergy with Cap WWII and Cap IW.
So I know some synergies show 2 versions of the champ in the synergy description itself but what if there are more versions?
Are only the ones that are shown count for the synergy or is it just for show and every version does count?
Anyone even knows what I'm talking about? Cause it's been a loooooong time ago when they said that.

Well so much for "Every version of the same champ" promise. But I guess I shouldn't expect too much from kabam anyway. Still waiting for the next champ release to have an awakened ability called "Disappointment" Every time this champ uses a special it does nothing. Actually that did happen once LOL it was a bug you used a special and power got drained but nothing happened XD
