Were war maps scheduled to change?

Just set up for a new war placing heroes. It looks like the old map, when we ran the newer maps earlier today. what gives. is this working as intended?

    You’ve gone up rank in AW.

    Higher tiers fight on the “old” map. Lower tiers on a more recent, arguably easier map.
