Champion Spotlight - Colossus

About Colossus:
Piotr "Peter" Rasputin was the child of Russian farmers, born with big shoulders and strong spirit. When his mutant powers emerged, his body became encased in living steel and he became one of the mightiest heroes of the Marvel Universe. Peter moved to America to join the X-Men, serving as both the heart and conscience of the team.

RECOMMENDED MASTERIES
Parry
- Although Colossus has a built-in Parry-like effect, he gains a decent direct-damage ability if he also has the Mastery. Grab this Mastery if you want Colossus to deal damage with each Parry in addition to taking very little chip damage during Blocks.
Double Edge
- Since Colossus is Immune to Bleed effects, he will only gain the Attack bonus without taking damage. As a slight bonus, this also has a chance to activate his Signature Ability for another Armor Up Buff.
STRENGTHS
- Extreme Tank
- Between his many Armor Up Buffs, Organic Steel and indefinite Fatigue, Colossus can make it through numerous attacks that would fell other Champions. He’s also much more resistant to Critical Hits than most Champions.
- Strong, Difficult-to-Resist Damage Output
- As Colossus’s damage output is tied to his Armor Rating and his Parry interaction, few Champions can directly counter this since he isn’t reliant on putting effects on his opponent.
- Reliant on Parry into Heavy
- Colossus’s strongest combat loop is to make use of his built-in Parry mechanics in conjunction with consistent Heavy Attacks. This will build his Armor Ups quickly while also doing consistent damage to the opponent. Unfortunately, if Colossus can’t access either of these mechanics, his overall damage output will take a serious hit.

(1) Because of wording related to having Parry mastery or not, does this imply that “without” Parry you would still need to do the well-timed block with the same Timing as if you did have Parry ?? (ie, not just a normal hold block in advance of the opponent’s hit) And so this feature is not really useful using him as a defender, but just on offense (except for those random times that a Colossus defender happens to activate Block right as you attack him).
and (2) Does specifying “if contact is made” mean contact into the well-timed Block (as opposed to “if contact is made” normally implying a non-blocked contact hit) ?? And is this also worded so as to exclude those cases where Projectile attacks can by Parried sometimes, limiting this aspect to contact-attempted hits instead of projectiles ??
My poor poor R5 Medusa 😭😭
