OG Ultron not an option for Variant 3 2016 gem

I just explored a chapter in Variant 3 and received a tech 3-4 gem. It does not allow OG Ultron to be ranker up even though he is a 2016 tech champ. Any reason for this?

    He never had a formal release. Hes a trophy champ.

    He was still released in 2016. Same with OG Vision. You can use gems on him

    He is a prize from a quest. You can use an awakening gem and Sig stones but that's it. He isn't available in crystals like all other champs are. If you do a little search, you'll see where this was brought up after Variant 3 was released and Mods confirmed.

    Yeah I've talked to support about this. I think the part I didn't understand is that Kang and Thanos are listed as possible upgrades for the 2015 tech and cosmic gems, and while they are technically available in greater gifting crystals, they feel like the same type of exclusive champ as Ultron.

    Also, the first time I asked support, the person responding said Ultron was released in 2017 and that is why, which is totally incorrect (they referenced a changelog post detailing LOL that was written in 2017, but LOL was released in August 2016), so I had to submit a second ticket. They didn't have a consistent story internally.

    My guess is they forgot to add him to the coding of the gem and are too lazy to go back and fix it. It's too bad, because he is one of the only champs I'd want to use on after SL and the other Ultron. Third party resources like Trucos graphics and auntm.ai list his as 2016 which can be confusing for players.

    He is intended to not be an option there for that gem.
    As for Kang and Thanos, same thing. They said they weren't intended to be as options in the gems and that they would be removed
