**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Namor interaction with Do not go Gentle Node

WHOz_R4GEWHOz_R4GE Posts: 239 ★★
Need some help. Why would Namor at Sig 200 take damage from Do Not Go Gentle node. He is supposed to take zero damage from all sources when at max sig, when attacking.

Thanks

I'm bumping this post because I just had this exact same question. Just did a path in 6.2.5 where "Do not go gentile" is the global node and my namor died to the charges. Namor at max sig should be able to bypass this node. I'm obviously attacking into the opponent when he dies so the damage I am taking while attacking should be reflected back. Anyone have any idea why he still dies to Do not go gentile damage?

it depends if your hit or the bleed kills the opponent, if the bleed kills then you take the damage from the node i believe

How many charges were there? If there was more than 1 charge there could have been a feedback loop that ended when namor stopped attacking.

I don't know about the OP but for me, I think I had like 27 charges. I completely ignored the node thinking he could bypass it so I wasn't dropping any heavies or worrying about intercepting. I believe Namor came out after this content so I'm thinking this wasn't tested and is a bug. Some code needs to be written in the game to make sure Namor can bypass this node at sig 200.

So here is the problem, namor reflects the damage back AFTER he is done attacking, due to the thanos infinite damage bug change. So what happens is

You hit him, he removes 1 charge and reflects the damage, which you then absorb and hold, then when you are done with the attack it redirects it to them again, but since he has more charges that damage is reflected right back at you again but since you are not attacking anymore you take the damage.

This message dates back to July, so I’m sure I had several charges as I was attempting to see if Namor would bypass the node. I launch a special 2 attack while the opponent was below 5% and it didn’t kill them. It dropped them to 1% even with the 3 part hit Namor has. So I reached out for clarification.

This is the response I received back in July from Kabam technical specialist on my question if this was working as intended.

    Hello again,

Thank you for your patience while we investigated this concern.

After reaching out to the team at large, I was able to confirm some specifics about Namor's ability. Specifically, whenever he lands a hit on the opponent, this attack will start a .5 second window of protection. As such, any damage that ticks or occurs outside of the hit event can get through, regardless of the source.

With that in mind, the interaction shown in the video provided appears to show his signature ability working as intended. However, if you have any other questions or concerns regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to reply back to this message.

I didn’t know the timing was that tight. There’s some big gaps in his specials and his heavy even on absolutely clean hits. Usually you get lucky but a burst at just the wrong time will still kill you and you might think it’s a bug.
