**Mastery Loadouts**
Due to issues related to the release of Mastery Loadouts, the "free swap" period will be extended.

Act 5 100% done. What now?

Title says it all. My main question is: With one r5 5* and rest r4 5*s is it better to do Variants (if yes, which) or try Cavalier?

Variants no doubt. Variants are easier and allows for more growth for easier Cavalier In the future. For variant, 4 is the easiest. Working backwards is best (4>3>2>1) when it comes to variant difficulty

Depends on your ranked champs. If you can make a single pass through 6.1 for cavalier go for it. If you are lacking counters to act 6 bosses start with variant 4 and work down again working down depends on your champs whether variant 2 or 3 will be more doable for you

if you can handle 6.1.5 boss Xbones, you're cavalier. variants don't give you the luxury of 1) access to cav featured crystals 2) superlative deals on deal days 3) the honor of spending 200 units for all the 3 stars you could ever want.
Loved your third point. Such a compelling reason indeed.

Although I know a few people who actually got caviler to get those 3 stars.

I found 6.1 Much easier than variants. Id say 6.1 and Variant 4 to start
