Does Hyperion need to be awakened?

  Hyperion's awakened ability gives him longer buff times. He can do everything normally without his awakened ability but it helps.

  He isn’t as insane as he is duped, but he can still do a whole lot.
  
  Just as a side trail, people who say Hypes dupe is useful but not that great are dead wrong. It changes the entire playstyle from overly aggressive to keep like, 4 furies into rolling with 5 furies on a bad day.
  
  TLDR he is still worth ranking up but absolutely needs a gem to reach his full potential. (he is good enough for r4 unduped but not r5 until duped)
  
  Edit: since you mentioned V4, I can tell you he easily solos both of the ch1 bosses. Electro just don’t hit him and play as you would Stark Spidy until you get L1, then special intercept him and wait for your power gain to give you another bar. DPXF just play normally until you get L2 and hopefully he will be stunned and in a corner so you can spam heavies against the wall and win.

  Hyperion's build is, IMO the perfect balance.
  
  He's a great champion both offensively and defensively, his signature ability is really great, doesn't need a massively high sig, but also isn't critical for him to be useable.

  Hyperion is good at sig40 and scales rather poorly till he reach sig200 then you see the change.. longer duration for fury etc.. more damage in attack.

  He's definitely worth a Cosmic awakening gem, but not generic. He's amazing unduped, and god tier duped

  Defiantly useable without but he really does go to another level awakened. Wouldn’t be near the top of the tree without it

  Just got a new (undup) 5* champ. If only there was a way to see what his awakened Abilities would be if I were to Awaken him. Like looking at (and playing with) your 3* or 4* version of him.
