First of all, Human Torch is just an undisputed beast, against Mystics and I think now against all sorts of defenders... so congratulations on that! Certainly someone you can build around and be happy with...
Carnage is good as well, I've heard, and personally I like Civil Warrior because of the power gain and the Havok counter, so situationally he can be useful as well. Green Goblin duped could be a good War defender I guess... I've heard he's alright but personally I don't like him too much, so condolences there. Finally, I'll concede that with Civil Warrior, Vulture and DPX are pretty useless. But hey, HT + Carnage + CW is certainly not bad at all!
