For example you have Doctor Strange and Ebony Maw who are the opposite: they are OP in lore/movies but are not that great in the game. So which characters do you think are weak in lore/movies, but great in game?

    Corvus glaive.....how is a character that was easily killed in the movies and comics be more powerful than almost all champs in the game when characters like Phoenix and thor exist in the same game....

    Definitely Domino (cable was twice as OP as her when they 1st appeared in comics), Ghost, Fury... and now Longshot (he as always fun and of course lucky but in no way a damage dealer).

    Well, it's because contest of champions is a place that nerfs or buffs champions in order to create balance. We have f**king dormammu in an arena, his powers are limited by the contest or we have karnak who is able to hold and bend Hulk's ARM.

    To create a place like that some changes are required, we can't expect them to design every character similiar to lore.
    Yet they are still adding abilities which are based on the character's lore, making the game and using the character more interesting.

    the powerful champs (as per comics/movies) was released with the beginning of this game. since then they tried to get every champ unique than the beforesaid champ (obviously every game company do these to get the earning). So thor, wolverine, dr strange are very less powerfull than the newly released champs....

    It's almost opposite comic lore. The most powerful characters are pretty average in the comics, whereas the weaker characters are the most powerful in comic lore. Few exceptions here and there like Hyperion, Corvus, Void, and Iceman are extremely powerful in game as they should be, but Blade Sparky, Ghost, Quake, Nick Fury are nowhere near being as OP in the comics as they are in the game.

    I’d say star lord in this game the potential of starlord is very high but in the comics is he really that powerful? At the end of the day he is only a human being he is nothing near the likes of champions like Dormamu or Hulk realistically most of the champs in the game would be throwing star lord around like a ball inside a pin ball machine if this was the comics.

    but for the weakest in game that’s OP in the comics I’d go either Cable or Nova. In the comics nova tore out annihilus freakin guts out and in the comics annihilus is crazy powerful nova realistically would be omega levels of powerful in this game.

    Cable was able to match up with silver freakin surfer well at the end of the day silver surfer won but at a price cable during the battle shattered silver surfers board which is very impressive considering how powerful silver surfer is and he was able to keep up with him in a fight is very impressive

    So many champs. But the mistake many commenters are making is comparing characters in the game to their portrayal in movies rather than how they are in the comic books.
