Kabam, just some constructive feedback regarding rebalances
I understand sometimes a champ needs to be rebalanced, but some of the changes feel like change only for the sake of change.
In this post I’m most specifically speaking to Namor and his regeneration. I think the entire point of giving him regeneration in the first place was recognizing that his main function was against some type of damage over time node/opponent. Regardless of how high the sig is or how aggressive you play him, you will end up taking some sort of hit from the damage over time. I think the devs knew that and offset it with regeneration capabilities. It was small, only up to 6 percent (up to and not a flat rate of 6, that is key) health on the use of a special. There did not seem to be a need to halve that if you consider that his function is being used on DOT and he will be taking damage.
Was the issue that he was too good of an overall character and being used outside of DOT fights? It just feels like the devs were second guessing themselves. While regeneration *might* have been too strong in non DOT fights, I think it was almost a necessity in DOT fights to mitigate the damage the player cannot.
If that was the case, perhaps a better compromise would have been to only be able to regen while under DOT effects and even possibly increase the regen cap in that case.
Regardless, I love the character, I didn’t sell him and the changes have not kept me from using him, but the regeneration rebalancing just seemed completely unnecessary.
