**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.

There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.
Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

War counted towards season??

Try again in 2 weeks after you fix the bugs from last update. People spend time and money on war. It should work. And when it doesn’t work and your contingency plan fails, then you should own up to it and start over.
Give them their rewards. Try again in 2 weeks. Make your customers happy and fix AW. 6.4 will keep them busy
Why is it whenever I say I'm done going over something, you always try to pull me in again? Lol.
I realize that’s potentially hard to fix, but it should be relatively simple to identify alliances that lost “short” wars and consequently went down a tier. Alliances that won “short” wars and went down a tier (presumably much smaller) would be the next query.
Once the affected population was identified and sized, at least then we could have a discussion about what to do. But that’s not what’s happening.
What’s frustrating is the sense that the game team is taking an “oh well” approach to all of this. I suppose if all of the losers of “short” wars got double 5* Namors from them there would be ample determination to find a solution.

because we look terrible now after 3 wars defeat, we are from Platz 3, down to Gold 3.

We don't have anything new to add yet. We understand how important this is to everybody, and are approaching this with that in mind. We are dedicated to doing the best that we can to address this situation, but until I have more concrete news to share, I can't really say anything.
Our latest war match up has just tanked this war (great for us) as we were plat1 and they were plat3 last season and i think they knew they had little chance of beating us. But then this is all due to the discluded/incluced (I dont know what really) war.
So an update would be appreciated. I'm sure the banner read that there would be a fix for this by the start of the week...its now almost midweek.
plus can a Mod clean this thread up abit, there seems to be one on a troll mission here and scrolling through pages of the same looking for an update is slightly infuriating.
Or just let it play out and award P1 rewards to everyone like the prior poster mentioned
What I'd like to know is who at Kabam did what to cause this. How could this have happened a second time??
Dropping war rating which can result in tier demotion is a huge issue and unless there is some very creative way that this is all solved I don't really see a fix that remedies this situation.
While this is going on you have alliances spending tons of items on the wars after #4 when in fact we should halt everything and just get it fixed.
These are the types of things that happen and infuriate the community. If there isn't a fix that can be done for a competitive game mode then the game mode should be suspended until the fix can be made. Why is anybody throwing items at war when we don't even have a time line? Is this something done by end of day or end of season? Really hoping it isn't the latter because nobody will truly know where they stand until they get rewards lol.....feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
The fix is right in front of you, stop war until you can actually fix it.....
This is very well said. Whether you decide to cancel the season or extend it, you really need to stop the wars as everyone is in limbo. It’s totally unclear how you are going to undo what has already happened. Just allowing it to continue without a fix is irresponsible. People are spending units, items, and real money on wars that may not count. No one knows where they stand in tier or rankings now because they don’t know how the missed war impacts everyone. Are we just going to find out at the very end?
The solution is simple. Stop wars until you make the corrections and if you find you can’t properly correct it, end the season after 4 wars. Don’t just let it continue.
What can be corrected? Points. Even after the Season runs.
1.) season reset + rating reset
-or-
2.) Viable rating reset for the past two wars since we were told they wouldn’t count.
Personally I’d say option 1.
