**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

New Map 6 seems mean spirited?

mydnightmydnight Posts: 671 ★★★
Just the placements and things, it appears to me that map 6 has become way more character specific and it's designed to kill you with unavoidable damage and annoying champs.

Dark Hawk and Kinetic Reactor. Domino unblockable s1 + 1 bar which makes her immediately lucky and u unlucky. Other champs placed to nerf regen champs like Blade.

I know these have counters, you don't need to tell me about them.

Just feels like it's totally trying to stop people from using champs pre-2019. It feels vindictive or mean spirited.

What do u guys think?

I actually enjoy the new variant compared to the other. Yes some annoying champs, but if you have assigned paths then it really isn't too bad.

I'm on degen. Blade has been nerfed on it to where he can't really heal.

I don't like the new map 6 and it's time for me to drop to map 4.

I haven’t ran the new map 6 variation but I used to use corvus with suicides in degen and I’d heal from it because of will power. Maybe still works idk.

I guess it all depends on your path. I like the new champs on my nodes. I gain corvus charges quicker now and he is really the only champ I use now against everyone. I take degen, bio, starburst

I’m do almost the same aside from tier1 I’m take. The right side and only gain 1 change because team works and only gain the the few last one one the tier3 starburst so I’m stil use covus to. But definitely not only use him use him for most of it but use nick furv for IW

I like how glory buys you a lot more, but the difficulty has been ramped up. Map 6 now requires people to have a better roster of specialise in just a few paths. Be nice for them to bump up the t2a and t5b in map 6/7 crystals. Previously map 6 was relatively easy on all paths, now champs and node placement mean much tougher without a high tanked counter.

Still enjoyable, but i can see it costing a few more resources for a lot of people.

They ramped it up pointlessly. The rewards aren't worth it.

I agree. I mean, I'm sure it just takes getting used to and eventually I'll be steamrolling it like I did the old map 6, but honestly for me AW is supposed to be the "challenging" ally game mode, AQ is more of a automatic thing at this point, it's kinda like doing a daily chore, and making the chore difficult is really annoying because I already don't like doing it every single day but now you throw curveballs at me to try and make me use items.

My paths in map 6 are C C B. Before corvus wrecked almost everything with a couple robots as backup in case I have a bad fight. Now, power gain Human Torch (with the Kinetic instigator global is just **** awful BTW), Stun immune Nick Fury. No Corvus charges on my paths till section 3 (there's a green goblin in sec 1 but my ally mates usually clear it due to time restrictions)

It's really really frustrating and an unnecessary change IMO.

I will also add that in the past Regen has been one of the key things you need to have in AQ, but this new map has pushed it towards more specific counters for nodes, a lot of which don't have a reliable regen. It's like they're trying to get us to buy more pots now that they're changing to separate AW/AQ pots. @Kabam Miike You aren't clever. People are catching on to you trying to milk us.
  • Very frustrating for sure

They should probably ease up on that debuff immune path. IW also needs some adjusting in her AI. Tenacity and invisible aren’t enough? You have to make her hold her block 30seconds straight at a time?

I'd love for this thread to gain some traction.

Warlock just now. He 5 hit combos in the air running after me followed by a heavy.

And I had Mephisto that backed out of my intercept. Like I'm running in and he steps back as he's running forward. The AI feels like 6.4.

Map 6. This is only map 6....

I recognize its the first week of the new map, but I'm definitely getting bullied around by a lot of these matchups. 33K Nick Fury stun immune, 33K Void debuff immune... thats only section 2.

I forgot about that Void, god that fight was hell.
  • Yeah That Nick fury is really out of place. Really hard to play around every counter now. Such a pain to bring different champs ,plus plan for the mini boss. Map6 is becoming so much more stressful.

All or nothing Hyperion and debuff immune

There is an AoN Hyp? Where is that?
