Character Purchase

Why isn't there an option to purchase the characters that you want? That would be a pretty good idea to execute on Kabam's side of things. Say for instance I want Venom or Dormammu. There is an option to purchase either Venom or Dormammu and depending on the rating I want, I'd have to spend more units. A 2 star could be 20 units, a 3 star is 200 units, a 4 star is 600 units, and a 5 star is 800 units. It would be brilliant. Of course there are deals such as if you're looking to purchase a character to dupe them, you will only unlock their signature ability with an increase of 1. Another one could be it has to be a character that has been around for at least two showcase arena events within 15 days, which means you cannot get Kingpin the very day he is put in the arenas. Is anybody else thinking this would have been a good move?

It came out in 2014, I played it in 2014 and took a 2 month break from it, but got back to playing it again after my hiatus. As I mentioned ONCE MORE, I played most of the year independent without being part of an alliance so my collect count was small. @Gamer

@Mr_Platypus I've completed everything up to Act 4 Chapter 2 with a mastery level of 57 with 28 offense points, 18 defense points, and 8 utility points. My heavy hitter is a 4-star Elektra, recently the top champ is Electro as of today and I just recently started the new quest in searching for LockJaw on Heroic. I won't get to dupe my BP on this arena because I was busy with school and work so I didn't reach my targeted milestone that gets me 4 star heroes. I never said she was on the same level as SL, I was stating that in the right hands she could be a hell of a character. As mentioned, X-F Deadpool is garbage to me, but a few people seem to be able to utilize him very well.

Right so you may not be a newbie in time played but in terms of progression I think you can be safely classed as one.
And as I've said, if the person that can use KK effectively used any of the champs that are actually good then it would show how bad she is.

Yes, progression wise because I have other interests outside of it, like Jurassic World and Injustice 2. Not to mention living my life, but if you want to use That logic, do what makes you happy.

That doesn't make sense though. If they can use her effectively, that means they found ways to make her work and work well. Just because you're bad at playing her doesn't mean a thing. I can sit here and say SL is a trash character, which I think he is, but does that mean he is? Maybe he's not my play style. Does that make sense?

If someone can use KK effectively, then they can use Hyperion or drax effectively (both have majority of their damage based on fury) which means that they will be able to do 1000x better using either of those 2.

Also please tell me you meant you dislike SL, because I'm not a fan as I get nervous and lose streak around the 100 mark but I still know that he is by far the ultimate character for things like LoL. Saying he's garbage just supports what I'm saying when I say you're a newbie.

lol watch his LOL run, how many times did he die to OML? AND he cant even evade elektra's sp1. he is not a good player. he just watch other youtubers vid and tried to imitate their fighting style. he is just entertaining as hell.

and i checked your profile.. seasoned summoner was given with shield of agent and avenger on call.. you are not a 3 or 2 year player. and for an avenger on call and u havent even completed a single master mode yet? no wonder u think seatin is a good player.. and how can u beat ROL with 3 star KK when u cant even 100% master mode with your 4 stars even though master mode is way way easier now? and you are not even inactive coz i see u done all the monthly quest.

2500 units for a 4* is the minimum Kabam have done them for, ever. So no way would they reduce it by the amount you want, ever. You would be looking 10,000 units at a minimum for a 5 star if they ever sold one. To pick the one you want I would think 50,000 units minimum as well

It literally would kill the game and it would 100% be pay-to-win. A lot more than it is now

Grinding for units (or any resource) is hard work, you are correct. Thats the whole point of it! When you achieve what you did the time for you get the reward and the satisfaction as well! If you dont want to do the work/time then you dont. This way people who put more work in get more, simple and fair (by the way im not one that does the work, dont have the time)

But the main reason this is such a very very stupid idea is the fact that Kabam would literally lose 90% of their income overnight! That would be hundreds of millions lost every month

WHY would they do that?

Just to clarify, you mean you can beat down SL, AA and Hyperion? Because these characters are offensive champions (Hyperion excepted, he's a decent defender). SL based on damage output is objectively one of the best if not the best champ in the game. No one's damage scales like his, and it can be graphed based on hit counter. This is not an opinion, it is objective fact. But he is a terrible defender and very easy to fight. Both his specials are easy to bait and evade. He has no evasion, bleed, degen or poison that can trip you up or do damage over time (He has shock from a special if you screw up). In fact EXACTLY the same can be said of KK. She can be made to look like a child.

I watch his channel all the time. I find him entertaining. Along with other YouTubers like DorkyDave, JoelLine etc etc. Honestly he's a better player than I am, I would call myself a hard working player.

Depends on what your definition of good is. I think I read that some of the basic arenas have 130K participants, so let's say conservatively 200k active MCOC players. If the top 10% is good... do I think he is better than 20k other players? Yes I do and I would define that as good. Though not necessarily elite.

Back to the original topic. As it is, probably the closest you can get to "buying" a champ, is waiting for their arena to come around, spending units on boosts and refreshes. It is still a lot of work, but greatly reduces the time to grind out a champ. It is a combination of work and spending resources.

@Biollante442 The problem you're facing in this thread is that you presented a concrete idea of how someone would buy a champ. If this isn't representative of how your pitch would work then it is a poor choice. Because at the moment, that example would unbalance the game. Users would only buy god tier champs and maybe their comic favourite and 80-90% of the other champs would disappear from the game. I'm keen to hear your pitch out, how does it work? And be realistic.. don't pitch 800 unit 5* champs. 2500 units is the in game offer for a 4*, I see it probably once a day. Sure it's not worth it, but that is what Kabam is selling.

I had the same question when i switched from Future fight to MCOC, Actually its a great idea only problem is Future fight & MCOC have a completely different Eco systems. Also kabam is already executing this offer (e.g.the Ravager crystal offer) you spend units/$ to get it, only catch is RNG you can get him with just 1 crystal or spend odins and get one from say 100 crystals. I have never seen a post where some one complained that he has purchased 100 crystals but didnt get the champ.

Long story short Good idea for Future Fight not so good for MCOC as they will have to alter the very fabric on which the game is based for this idea to work.

People are bashing on a half-baked idea.

And OG Vision and OG DeadPool are special instances, being able to buy ANY character you want seems an unbalanced approach. He's disappeared from this thread, so we may not hear the fully baked idea anyway.
