Small energy refills now locked in quest cache since early March update

As of the update at the start of March, Small Energy Refills have not been usable in the quest they are picked up in. Revives, Potions, Full Energy Refills, everything that isn't a chest is supposed to go straight to usable inventory or overflow. Now Small Energy Refills are being treated like chests, going into the quest stash.

Don’t think Kabam ever chimed in from March about this change.

Would be nice to hear if this was an intended change (for Small Energy), or if the Sm.Energy somehow got it's properties erroneously changed in the code to cause it to be the only other thing now going to Quest Storage instead of right to Inventory/Stash.

From the March patch notes...
"Path-based rewards display
One-time claimable rewards found on the Quest board are now viewable from the View Rewards panels if they are present in a Quest."

If your goal was to show the usable items that you picked up mid-quest... potions, iso, revives, refills, only Small Energy Refills now appear, and that is making them unusable during the quest.
I don't see anything else the patch notes message could be related to.
The image examples occur in story mode, showing that small energy refills are not going to usable inventory anymore when picked up in the quest, but Full Energy Refills and all other non-chest items are still usable right away, and don't show up in the quest stash.

Requesting that the immediate usability of Small Energy Refills be restored. They are key to progressing in a way that we don't have to wait 6 to 12 minutes to use the maximum effect of a Full Energy Refill.
