**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

Kabam, Scrap this last war

Idk what happened to the war matchmaking this last war but something is seriously messed up, I've seen dozens of posts about imbalanced matchmaking far more absurd than the normal. For example my 27mil rated alli is going against the #10 alli in the world. Many have multiple r3 6*s while we have 0. The prestige difference is nearly 2000. I've seen 9 mil allis matched against 30+ mil allis. How exactly are the allis at a disadvantage supposed to compete? The right thing to do is to scrap this war and look at what as caused this issue. Don't start another war till then.

Shouldn’t make changes like this mid season. This war needs scrapped

What's the difference in war rating? As that's all that should matter

Even our war rating isn’t even that close.

The difference is about 60 but that's not the problem. This alli we are facing is much more focused on aq (top 20), they could easily be master's if they tried too. Why do we get matched against them when there are plenty of allis similar to us in our bracket.

He’s already explained the difference, which wasn’t big. We’ve demolished every war this season. We shouldn’t get paired with an ally that’s literally going to troll over us. The difference is far too huge. We haven’t even gotten our first person to complete abyss. Let alone face an ally where they have all explored it.

Thats a 1 win difference so definitely close war rating and no reason it shouldn't happen

Apparently unfair wars are ok with this guy...

Imagine if a minor league baseball team for example was pitched up against a MLB team, they aren't able to win and then are punished in the rankings because of it. Is that fair? Should that happen in baseball?

As patchie said war rating should be the only thing considered in matchmaking

Happens sometimes yes. Happens to a **** load of people at once. There’s something off and needs investigated

If they have changed it to only account for war rating which I hope they have then this scenario will not happen after ratings sort themselves out. The problem is the matchmaking has given some lower alliances inflated war ratings.

You must be one of the allis that hasn't been affected one bit by this right
  • Alliance Wars are not solely based on any one factor, but you will be matched with Alliances near your War Rating. This is a performance-based rating that changes with your Alliance's wins and losses. Alliance Rating can be manipulated, so is not a good matchmaking comparison.

We are continuing to work to improve our matchmaking parameters with every Season and even in between. Some Wars will be more difficult than others, but if you want to climb to the top, you're going to have to earn your spot!
