With Variants giving out rank up gems based on year and the time that champions were released becoming more and more important I thought I might make a chart showing the years that the top champions in the current meta are from. I will attach a list in a spoiler of the champions I considered as part of the meta but I based the chart on champions that I would deem useful enough to R5.
The chart shows that from 2017 kabam started to pick up the ball on how to make some really good additions. Do note that for 2020 we are not even halfway through the year and I didn’t include Red Guardian/BWDO because it’s really too early to tell. I did however include weapon X.
