What annoys me about the timer change

I’ll keep it short and simple
What really annoys me is that it took them so long to address this it’s been a well known fact in the game for 2 years now and suddenly they’ve decided to fix it

actually i think @Kabam Miike said the right thing and it honestly gave me faith in the direction of the game going forward ... he said the issue isn't the "bug" but rather why players feel like they have to use it in order to gain an upper ground or win in certain content.

and i absolutely agree. the thing to figure out is why something exists in the game that is so unbalanced it forced players to do this in the first place.

I still find it utterly ridiculous that people are claiming this one questionable use is the only reason to awaken Corvus. His sig ability has plenty of use in all aspects of the game. I honestly would never have even thought of using him in this manner before these threads came up. Clearly this isn't a nerf of Corvus. They aren't actually changing his sig ability, from what I understand, but rather how he interacts with this single aspect of the game.

You guys are overeacting on the whole communication thing. There was no communication about this change because they did not mean for it to go live in the first place as they claimed. Once they realised their mistake about the timeout KO thing going live they communicated about it and said they are gonna put it back to how it was. They also further elaborated on what was the concern they are trying to address and that they are going to leave it as it works usually until they can come up with a reasonable solution. Sounds to me that they communicated fairly.

The half health on time out is meant to exist but corvus can use this in a way that no other champs can as you can safely parry 5 hit parry 5hit. Sp1 then pause and wait to timeout before doing it again.
Show me any other champ who can do that on 1% health indefinitely and well doing high damage

IMO corvus's ability is meant to be used this way, to help you survive lethal damage even through a timeout so that you can try again with 1% health and full corvus charges. What is an exploit however, is pausing the game and letting the timer run out while the game is paused which simply isn't fun. Just make it such that pausing the game pauses the timer, problem solved. Players wont be able to exploit the game by letting the timer expire while match paused and if the player can wait out the timeout by using his/her skills to dex the opponent and stall while at 1 health, id say they deserve to not have their corvus KOed due to timeout.

That’s something kabam needs to change. If they consider it a bug, it needs to be communicated and explain that it will at some point change. Otherwise, as it is now, it’s simply a part of game play. As per usual, their timing is awful and communication is non existent.

Not to mention, I don’t see how this could be an accident, seems like it’s more of a test. Why would you ever touch AQ in the middle of a cycle for any reason... except to shut down an exploit.
Yep apparently it was an accident implementing it this cycle but the bugs should have been made known so at least people can hold up on stuff like awakening corvus

Yeah I'm pretty sure everyone would awaken corvus either way
