Energy refills from 5.3.6

I used to get plenty of energy refills from story quest 5.3.6 . In last 2 days ran it 3 times but didn’t get atleast one.
Is it just bad RNG or did kabam modify the drop rates for refills for quests?
Noticed the same in 4.3.6

    What's been irritating me is that when you pick up a little one, you can't use it until you finish the quest but if you get the full energy refill it's readily available
