You don’t need him. Yes he is amazing but you don’t need him to complete things.

If you buy specific crystals that cointain him, then he is easier to get there.
And he was already in the arenas.

He is in both basics. In an incursion crystal. They've put out his featured cavs more than once. He was in Arena... not sure what else they can do but literally offer him for sale.
