The 5.2 Collector, a review.
So I know that many people no longer have any need to fight the 5.2 collector but others do and I think I’d do a review.
Now a small disclaimer, I did this fight months ago, it took me a while but I did it, since then I’ve completed the rest of act 5, V4 and LOL so I’m not stuck on it or still salty about the fight. I will also compare it to fights in these pieces of content.
Attack
Now the attack numbers feel a bit large. I think he’s got around 3/4K attack. Now that’s more than opponents in LOL. So quite a lot. It means that you’ve got 1 combo until you’re dead. (Using a 5/50 or 4/55)
Specials
They SUCK. The sp1 is really hard to dex as is the sp2. They also do loads of damage through the block and become unblockable after 55%. This 55% threshold is probably way too high, should be closer to 20% or something. It basically means that soloing him is impossible unless you have 2 specific champions ranked up.
Health
Honestly the health is fine. It is reasonably well balanced. The fight is really hard but at least there is only a small amount of health to get down.
Abilities
The abilities ramp up as the fight goes on. Protection is kind of a problem as is the crit resistance, but they are do-able. It’s the final phase where the abilities get bad. Regen is on its own not too bad but paired with protection and it’s not great. Immunity is fine as you weren’t really parrying to begin with.
Unstoppable. No. Hate that. It’s just a death trap.
Tenacity is bit annoying. No parries or any other reliable debuffs so you need to learn to intercept before you do the fight.
Nodes
Nothing that special other than bane. Now bane. Well there’s no easy way of saying it. It SUCKS.
Luckily there’s nothing else on him so it’s alright in that department.
Overall
The fight is near un-soloable unless you have Spidey Gwen or Sparky and even then it’s hard. This fight requires intercepts and revives. Lots of revives. Top tip would be go in with champions who don’t need any buildup. Like none. Stealthy, no. NF, yes. I’ll end on this: the 5.2 collector took me more revives than any other fight I’ve done, more than 5.4 ultron, more than V4, and even more than LOL Maestro.
