War.... well, at least you heard pain points. But you essentially said that we can just hurt until you get something that may or may not be what you suggested into the game. Can you not just make it less painful immediately by toning down attack values like act 6? A bone on this?
Looking forward to next dev diary the most. Hoping it’s not too delayed.
However, I still have one major pain point that I commented on in one of the previous roadmap posts. Where are bases?
I can see the challenge of making AW competitive but not overly punishing is a very difficult line to balance. You have the true masters of MCoC who hammered through the worst of the flow wars with single digit deaths across the alliance, whilst even in P1 I was fighting alliances dropping 80/90 deaths. With the skill gap at the very summit of the game being so narrow, yet so far ahead of the rest of the pack, even those in P1/2, I can see how its difficult to make AW content that can force decisive encounters between them but still allow us mortals in P1/2 to not want to find something high to jump off.
Rather than alliance-wide attack buffs, what about giving the individual player the choice of attack buffs? After all I could have a path and attack team that gains no benefit from whatever buffs our BG has chosen and still effectively be at square one.
The other AW consideration that I think should be made is a monthly increase in season rewards, even if it is only minor - an extra T5CC crystal and 1000 5/6* shards - just so that it does remain relevant, especially with a Cavalier difficulty of MEQ coming to the Contest.
Raids sound interesting, though it will be interesting to see how they're made engaging with only one player able to directly interact with an NPC at a time.
I m a whale, but seeing how you treat most of the player base with those increased-rewards that doesn't makes me feel i want to spend money and time in AW.
Just saying
AQ on the other hand is concrete info (energy changes are great).
Raid boss tease sounds great.
All in all this was a lot better than the previous roadmap
Atleast we would have the champions and crystal roadmap today
-Boss rush: Idea looks promising but no real details and no release date
-Help all: cant wait
-AW: some nice QoL stuff. Nothing concrete about changes for season 19 or beyond. Rewards are still nowhere near worth it for anyone below plat 3 (and i dont see how adding a gold 4 would change that). No real new idea in the pipeline it seems. Just the same old with more adjustment. That game mode really seems to be dying.
