**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

AW tier drop during hiatus

SandPounderSandPounder Posts: 341 ★★★
Our AW tier dropped from tier 5 to tier 6 sometime during this war hiatus.

We had matched in tier 5 for wars 7 and 8 prior to their cancellation, and had won war 6. Now the war room shows us in tier 6!

Our AW-Tier dripped from 3 to 4 despite the season was put on hold and no war took place. The war-rating ist still the same ... dropping a tier means less points because of the lower multiplier. anyone else noticed this?

Did you lose your last played war? Sometimes the tier updates later

we‘ve been at tier 3 after the first war was cancelled... since the last played war ended last tuesday, that should have been long enough to update the ranks

Same here after the wars were cancelled we dropped a tier

One possibility (if it wasn’t right after your last real war ended that you checked, but also much later well after all of the wars ended and into the next wars matching and defense placement)...

Could be since Tiers are technically based on “Percentage” that your ally is relative to how many Ally's exist (unlike final Medal Ranks, which are Fixed-Number of Slots). That you were close enough to bottom of the Tier, and since then enough NEW Ally's have been created, could result in being dragged down a tiny bit for those right on the edge.

Hadn’t thought of that before, but could account for a few other posts from time to time here (besides the normal being matched against a cross-tier opponent).
Maybe New Alliances shouldn’t be counting towards the 100% Tier Breakdown until they have finished their first War Season.

This should push you the opposite way.

    Say you're number 5 out of 100 (5%). If you add a 900 alliances to the bottom, you're now 5 out of 1000 (0.5%).

The only way you'd drop is to eliminate alliances (which could happen if they are banned I guess).

    Yep, lol, got it backwards.
Maybe Ally's that everyone has left getting deleted (although probably more new ones than deleted ones though).

So I just noticed this happened to our alliance as well. We moved up to tier 2 after the last war (we won 6). We were in tier 2 for both wars that got cancelled (wars 7 & 8 we matched and were still in tier 2). But now we are suddenly in tier 3 for the current matchmaking that starts tomorrow. Obviously this is affecting several alliances but still no comment from any of the mods?

Same here, won our last war, matchmaking for T5 before the cancellations, now down to T6.

Same for us, we were matched in Tier 5 before it was cancelled, had set up with defence tactics. Now we are in Tier 6 for some reason.

Same thing happened here. We were tier 4 before war 7, got matched in a war before it was cancelled and now we've dropped to tier 5.
    We also won war 6

We dropped from 4 to 5 as well. Last REAL war we did tier 4 and agreed we lost it. But then we were still in tier 4 and matched and that war never started. And now we are looking at t5. That shouldn't happen right?
  • Speeds80Speeds80 Posts: 2,008 ★★★★
Yeah we are the same, won last real war and were in t5 placed for tier 5 defense last war, (the one that didn’t Actually start) and now we are in 6. I’m wondering if the alliances whose war actually started (the early ones) actually got to move up in points if the war got cancelled while they were winning? Or even losing? Like points got added to their season total?

Same here. Oh well, they can't fix it in time, do they? The season will be affected permanently.

Yeah same. We dropped a tier as well. This will definitely affect season scores and rankings for the affected alliances.

Ours dropped as well, I didn't notice until I saw this thread. I had taken a screen shot when I enlisted us just in case something bad happened and sure enough, today we have dropped
