We were dropped two tiers during the matchmaking fiasco - which mill make it very difficult for us to keep our gold2 rating

Yes, but in the opposite way. We got paired with an alliances that dont place any defenders. They fixed that, but now we're at a total disadvantage for this war. Not as many people placed from my ally even though there are bg assignments, but we still got paired up with an ally that fully placed, and now my bg is stuck against a 5/65 Terrax. We're not even an elite alliance.
