Warlock won't work with his armor breaks. Man-Thing is made of mush and is immune to armor break/shatter.

Elsa Bloodstone. Finish with light combos and blow that sp2 in his face. Or BWCV who can easily put three debuts on her heavy. Sentinel can also dish out a lot of debuts on his heavy, sp1 and sp2.

Since it's Canadian difficulty, I think it is going to be difficult to keep HT out of Nova form against a mystic once a few smoulders build up on him.

Sentinel sp2 spam with boosts might be able to do it (I managed to do it with a maxed out 4*)

Black Widow - heavies do 3 debuffs. Just tune her to poison.
