It’s a lot harder to maintain a streak after round 20 even with a team of rank 1 6* in my opinion it’s made things a lot worse and I would prefer if they changed it back to how it was

I tend to agree. Matches are way worse when you get the All or Nothing AI

I’m a decent player and the higher ranks aren’t a problem because they are difficult, they’re a problem because they take more focus and time unless you risk your streak.

It’s like “you’ll no longer face max rank Things with low ranked teams, you’ll just face them 2-3 ranks higher and every other match up because that’s what people rank up. He’ll throw his specials now but he’ll also do that more often while at low rock stacks.”

It does take time for the arenas to “populate” with players so maybe the match ups will change in a day. But for now many players are putting in more today for the same the got for less yesterday.

I realise there’s a lot of macho posturing around this game, but did anyone really want arenas to be harder, more time-consuming, and ultimately less fun, all for the same rewards?

Arenas were never enjoyable, but there was a certain satisfaction from using all of your roster, whilst building up gold and battle chips at a fairly decent rate.

This change just makes arenas even less attractive than they already were.

To those saying the ai is easier that’s not the problem. The AI after 20 matches has always been easy. The issue is that now after 20 fights you are getting deathmatched more, which takes a lot longer to complete

Same here, at least you guys are getting different death matches each round tho, ive had the same Opp for the last 7 or 8 rounds consisting of maxed OG Vision, Killmonger, and Doom, im managing to get through, but as my champs get lower its becoming much harder, but still, WHY THE SAME OPP EVERY TIME? 😫

These changes are brutal - more time consuming and frustrating to play arena now that ever. Kabam once again managed to turn "pro-player" changes into the exact opposite

I thought it was just me. I plan out my arena teams for the 4* basic and it's always given me fights around my pi, but today, I got a lot that were higher. I didn't lose a single one, but it was unusual.

Good job Kabam... i was playing arena for 4 years now. Never bored about this...until this day. Arenas are now a waste of time without any fun. Thanx a lot

I am pretty sure is has to do that stupid punishing arena...play 1 star champ get 150k points
Play 4 star get 6k
I reach match 23 in 4s featured ...every match after 15 the opponent had x2.5 pi than my team

My maxed up 4s champ had to face 14-15k pi
And when i went against champs like Fury it was hopeless

I notice a change in arena too. But to post this doesn’t really say anything...how suppose to know what match you on?

So you probably shouldn't be doing arena often. Never using this team (3 r3), I had this confrontation.

This is terrible. Why are we fighting Champs with double our PI?

How is this easier? It's definitely not easier.

Less deathmatches? They are all deathmatches now.

I love arena and play it daily. I was going to go for 40 mill to try and see if that was enough for top 300. Definitely not trying that now. This is not going to get more people to play arena, it is going to have many vets quit arena. You have basically killed all of our 4/55s and lower from fun mindless arena where we could multitask.

Kabam, are you aware that you are constantly having fights with opponents who are 2 ranks above yours in every single match? There was nothing in any announcement that indicated this.

Other consequences of this change:

Garbage champs are now 100% completely useless. No way I'm bringing a 5* R3 Miles Morales to fight a 5/65 Hype, G99 or Fury.

No variety in Arena. Now you will only face Champs who are R5, and 6* R2/3 worthy. This means out of 100+ champs we will regularly see about 30 of them.

Now Arena scores will be completely roster based, you couldn't possibly out-grind any spender time-wise while keeping your sanity.

This is absolute nonsense, Mike. The infinite streak has been in the game since day 1 and was working fine last arena. Now it is gone. That is a major, anti-player change. You have ruined the arena, which was thw only thing keeping me in this money-grubbing game. Adios, suckers.

Just as a test, I ran a few rounds in the 3* arena. All 3* used were maxed, as of match 10, never saw Kang/Thanos team. Something is very screwed up.

This change hasn’t made arena easier yet the opposite. I’m the 5* feature at round 19 using 6* r1 like I normally do in with the same champs up against r3 6* all duped is a lot harder even worse when it’s omega red and suicide mysteries are on. And in the 4* featured arena at round 25 now using rank3 5* champs like normal yet getting put against rank5 5*s. Also not come across a single thanos team or kang team in either arena. Arena has been active for 4 hours and 45mins and that’s as far as I’ve got yet normally I would have done more by now.

A few matches in a row like this one. I was excited for the arena changes and the rewards, however these matches don't need to be happening at 20+ wins. What a shame.

@Kabam Miike - have you been in the arena? There is no way death matches have been reduced. I’m at win 20 in the five star featured arena and I’m getting nothing but opposing teams twice the strength of my team. Either you guys have no clue what is happening in the arena today or you are truly and tragically clueless about what your customers want out of the Arena. I can assure you, this is not it. You have made a major mistake that will drive off every arena player in the game. This will kill your game and you guys will lose your jobs. The reaction to this will make the Alliance boycott look like child’s play. I know I am done with the game if this is not reversed today.

With 105k Wins, I'm going to have to disagree. When you're on an all-out Grind for 3 days, lasting hours and sometimes playing straight through to your Recharge, the last thing you want is the added challenge of PI twice the amount you're using on top of AI that throws Specials faster.

So for @Kabam Miike this means "reducing the confrontations to death teams" the changes are supposed to "facilitate" and make the fights in VS faster, not so that it takes us longer than usual
