Build on strength or focus on weakness?

Do you tend to rank up and use resources (ISO, catalysts, gold) on your top tier champs to Rank 5 before ranking other top tier champs? Or do you try and get all top tier champ to a minimum rank?

For example, would you rank an awakened NF to Rank 5 from Rank 4 or get an awakened Aegon up to Rank 4 from Rank 1 first?

Thoughts? Strategies?

    I usually rank up based on my next target content. I have all my potential rankups sitting at R3 and then once they are appropriately needed, they'll be ranked up to R4 or even R5.

    When I went for Cav, I ranked up Void to R5. When our Ally upgraded the map, I ranked up Corvus. Now I'm planning on taking on Variants, so Sentinel is next.
