Failed parry at the start of the fights

Is it a new common issue that the fist parry in a fight has started to not register more and more the last few months? In content where the AI starts the fight with an attack, a very common action is to anticipate and go for a straight parry as soon as the FIGHT logo disappears, but it hasn't been registering that parry a lot lately.

    The AI is altering attack speed more frequently.
    If it shifts by a few milliseconds, you won’t parry.

    Just hold block at the beginning, lag is too bad for me so I can't parry at beginning

    I assume it’s because parry timing has been slightly off for a while now. I’ve gotten used to it in most instances but it’s still sometimes annoying.
