Need clarity on saving a 5* featured crystal

Could anyone comment and clarify if this will or won’t work?
If I were to buy a 5* Blade crystal at the end of the month, and I held that crystal until the new Nov basic champs are added, would I be able to pull a new November basic from the 5* Blade crystal?
I’ve searched and can not find a concrete answer.
