Venom with Deep Wounds vs Corvus on Suicides

I gotta say, Corvus got me through a lot including Cav title before the nerf but the more I play Venom with Deep Wounds the more convinced I am that he has the superior kit even compared to Corvus on suicides. Both solve different problems so ideally you are lucky and have both, but dahammmmm do defenders melt when Venom is rolling. Add in the ability to nullify/heal as a non mystic and how he rolls through buff heavy nodes without the reliance’s on boosts for End Game content it’s hard for me to rank Corvus over him.

With the increased dominance of Variants and the act 7 node-design style which benefits buffs, bleeds, etc. I would say Venom>Corvus.

Agree about the note on variants. With Venom being a top choice for 3 out of the 6 he’s a must R5/R2 champ as he pays for himself in just that content along. But his kit is so incredibly nimble he’s like a fine wine who’s getting better with age like Void, Quake, etc.

Love them both but since I'm not using suicides due to the majority of my top champs not being suicide friendly, venom has been amazing and corvus continues to be my AQ leader.

I pulled Venom as a 6* last week and immediately R2d him and now am almost fully explored both variant 2 and 6 in that time with minimal items and in short order. Venom does a lot in the cosmic monthly eq with all of his buffs as well. He isn't perfect, but he holds his own in a lot of content and specific matchups.

You know I have a 6* r3 Venom, and I like him hes good. But he ain't corvus lol, guaranteed crits takes no damage from shock, bleed, cold snap, evade counter with prox synergy, ignores all resistances while his true damage is active and his most important ability, Death immunity one of the most valuable things in this game.

Yup, love all that about Corvus but when health pools require more than 20 Glaive slaps all those things become irrelevant

Personal opinion, I don't like Corvus.
He's great sure but I don't enjoy playing him. He's boring and I just don't like the champ.
I'd swap my 6* for a 6* Venom, no doubt. I looooove Venom, he's super fun and awesome. I actually forgot he benefits from deep wounds too.

But that 1% health thing that he can't die on is pretty amazing. And his taking no damage from certain debuffs.

I didn’t use either venom or corvus in act 6 or act 7 exploration, but use both of them in aq.

Both are good for their purposes.

Corvus total great champ, ignores armour, out standing with sucides, massive damage, literally immortal
But personally I love using venom more than corvus

Fair but Abyss isn’t normal content, it’s masochistic resource sucking content where you plan to die a lot. He’s not getting 1shots, and if you are using him your running boosts. Main reason he’s on those teams is because of the Abyss Collector where you are lucky to get more than 20hits a single life, and I will never argue against Corvus on that front.

Don’t get me wrong Corvus is better than Venom on certain content, I just think Venom is the better general purpose champ.

Venom was my first R5 5-star, and I never once regretted it. He's still a staple of my core questing team. My corvus is still at R4 and I pulled him before venom, if that tells you anything.
