Silver surfer rotating buff bugged?

I just ranked my 6s silver surfer and took him for a ride. Any time I try to activate a latent buff I get power gain, no matter what icon is shown.

Game version 30.1.0
Latest ios
Game mode : duel (to make sure no strange node or synergy is active)

    It shows you are triggering the power gain 2x times. What's wrong here?

    U didnt wait on the power gain grey icon to change thats whats wrong on why ur only getting power gain
